Gail M. Smith, 66, passed peacefully surrounded by her loving family on June 21, 2019, following a brief illness. Gail was a 1970 graduate of Commerce High School in Springfield and graduated with honors from Springfield Technical Community College’s surgical technology program. She was a surgical technologist of 25 years, having worked at both Wesson Women’s and Family Life Center.
Gail was pre-deceased by her mother, Gloria, and grandparents, Frank and Betty. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Mike; her son, Michael Jr. & his wife Jessica of Springfield; her
daughter, Keri Ann, and grandchildren, Ronin & Winter of West Brookfield. She also leaves her sister, Jane Hammond, husband Mark & their children, Kate & Jess of California. The family is most grateful for the help and support of Baystate Visiting Nurse Association & Hospice. Gail requested no visiting hours.
