Joseph P. Graziano



Joseph P. Graziano, 86, passed away at Mercy Medical Center on April 18, 2021. Joe was born in Springfield on May 24, 1934 and grew up in Springfield’s South End. He attended Trade High School, then started working at Handy Meat Packing in Springfield. He became a machinist and worked for many years at Titeflex in Springfield, until his retirement in 1999.

Joe was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. He loved to fish, hunt for mushrooms, and garden, especially growing tomatoes.

Joseph was predeceased by his parents, Edward L. and Immacolato (Fusco) Graziano, brothers, Antonio, Armando, Albert and Arnold Graziano, and his sisters, Pauline Mills and Mary Webber.

He leaves behind his loving partner of 58-years, Jane Colson, sister-in-law, Jean Graziano, nieces and nephews, Gregg Mills, Carla Hoctor, Edward Graziano, Carol Perry, Michael Webber, Heather Roberts, A. Scott Graziano and Marco Graziano, and many grand nieces and nephews. Joe will also be missed by his loving cat Muffin.

Family and friends are invited to Joe’s funeral services, Thursday, April 22, beginning 9 a.m. at Tazzini Funeral Home, 22 Locust St. in Springfield, proceeding to his 10 a.m. Liturgy of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, followed by his burial at St. Michael’s Cemetery. Masks and social distancing required at all.
