Kevin Raymond Cauley, 42, was called Home far too soon on January 2, 2023, surrounded by love.
Born in Springfield and raised in East Longmeadow, he was the son of Raymond & Anne (Figoni) Cauley of Windsor Locks, CT.
While in the hospital, on December 22, 2022, Kevin married, Luis Escalera, his soulmate for over 20 years. His parents said it was the best wedding they have ever attended.
After years of schooling, Kevin settled in as a phlebotomist for Quest Diagnostics in both Connecticut & Florida. He was the choice for pediatrics given his warm, gentle, and caring nature with the children he helped.
Outside of work, Kevin enjoyed skiing in Vermont, fishing with his nephew Eoghan, swimming & riding waves at the beach, but especially loved his time with family & friends. He was the jokester and was loved by those he met.
Luis will forever remember Kevin for his quirky sense of humor, big heart, love of cooking, strength, and most importantly, lessons of acceptance, courage & Faith. Kevin was Love…
Along with Luis, Ray & Anne, Kevin is survived by his sister, Kate Garvey, husband Keith & their children Eoghan & Kayleigh of Agawam, many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, other extended family, and his dog, Jack Jack.
All are invited to visit Tuesday, January 17, from 8:30-9:30 a.m. at Tazzini Funeral Home, 22 Locust Street in Springfield, proceeding to Kevin’s 10 a.m. Liturgy of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. Burial will be private at a later date.
Please consider a memorial contribution to Hospice Care at Hartford Hospital, 80 Seymour St., Hartford, CT 06102, or the American Heart Association.
