Stephen P. Dudzik


Stephen Paul Dudzik, 55, died at home June 10, 2021. Stephen was born March 18, 1966, to John & Mary (Burrows) Dudzik in Norwood, MA and lived in New England as a child before his family settled in Orange County New York.

He graduated from Valley Central High School and later from Orange County Community College. While in New York, he had a career in retail management and eventually found his calling after graduating as valedictorian from Mohawk Valley Community College in respiratory care. It was then that he thrived as a respiratory therapist working at hospitals in the Utica, NY, and Western Massachusetts areas.

In his free time, he enjoyed volunteering, spending time over the years with Big Brothers/Big Sisters, the Peacemaker Program, Cooley Dickinson Hospital, and the Northampton Survival Center.

He is predeceased by his mother, Mary Dudzik. He is survived by his, father, John "Jack" Dudzik & wife Dolores of Sun City Center, FL, ex-wife Lesley Dudzik-Andrews, children, Joshua & Jessica Dudzik, brothers, Michael Dudzik & wife Bridget, and Jay Dudzik all from the Hudson Valley region of New York, and his partner and later husband of 21 years, Anthony Scibelli of South Hadley. Anthony and Stephen were separated the last ten months of Stephen's life, but remained friends sharing time with their yellow labrador retriever, Lily, who Steve loved very much.

Family and friends are invited to visit Monday, June 21, from 3 p.m. - 5 p.m. at Tazzini Funeral Home, 22 Locust St. in Springfield. A memorial will be held in New York and will include a private burial.
