Thomas Stevens, 75, passed away peacefully on November 19, 2022. Born and educated in Springfield, he was the son of the late Henry & Nellie (Netopski) Stevens.
In his early years Tommy worked as a clothier at his father’s business, he then worked at the Springfield Museum and Library for many years before retiring.
A lifelong collector of museum quality antiques, art and furniture, he also enjoyed gardening and creative home decor. He had a way with flowers and would arrange opulent floral displays; often generously gifted to friends. Tommy loved to entertain and hosted many elaborate home and garden parties. He was a stylish dapper dresser and was known for his distinctive handlebar moustache.
Tommy was predeceased by his sister, Barbara Stevens.
He is survived by his longtime partner and care giver Scott Gill, half-brother Mark Stevens, two nieces, numerous cousins and best friend Kellie Lavoie.
Family and friends will gather, Saturday, November 26, from 9-10 a.m., at Tazzini Funeral Home, 22 Locust Street in Springfield, proceeding to his 11 a.m liturgy of Christian burial at Holy Name Parish, followed by his committal at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
